Ongoing Fundraiser for Geriatrics Center at St. John’s The Friends of St John's (FoSJ) are exactly that, busy professionals bound by a spirit of belonging to their Alma mater. I work with a Community Geriatrics program at St John's, and our program has benefited from the generosity and commitment of the FoSJ. Through the efforts of the FoSJ membership and their willingness to reach out to supporters in their circles, our program has been able to grow and reach needy elders in communities in and around Bangalore. Kudos to the Friends of St John's, may your efforts continue to further the mission of St John's, and enable it to truly reach the unreached!

It is with great pride that, on behalf of all the alumni of St. John’s Medical College, I congratulate and acknowledge the enormous efforts of FOSJ towards its alma mater. FOSJ has been supporting St. Johns National Academy of Health Sciences for several decades. Quietly but consistently – whether for research grants, scholarship support or the Golden Jubilee infrastructure. While the AA initiated a special corpus to support student scholarships for a few undergraduate and postgraduate part scholarships, it is the FOSJ that went full steam ahead and were able to raise funds for full scholarships for some students. This effort also prompted the management to commit to matching these scholarships with additional scholarships. A special thanks to the FOSJ leadership – they persevered and like the Energiser batteries – they kept going and going and going…… Thank you to so many Johnites based out of India who both contributed and leveraged contributions to the FOSJ funds for St. John’s Medical College. I would like to specially recognize the contributions made during the COVID epidemic by FOSJ to the institution – this will go a long way to enhance the quality of health care for those in need.
